We are looking for a Project Coordinator
We are seeking a Contract Administrator / Project Coordinator to join the construction and development team in our Carlsbad, CA office. This individual assists the construction team on the development and construction of multifamily projects in southern California. The Project Coordinator will report to the VP of Construction, Project Manager and support a field staff. They will perform cost accounting on subcontracts, contract administration, project report updates, filing and record keeping support for all projects. The Project Coordinator will
- Prepare contracts and exhibits for design consultants and subcontractors
- Prepare bid packages
- Interface with accounting department regarding invoicing
- Maintain project files electronically
- Write and administer contracts, change orders, and purchase orders
- Assist Vice President and Project Managers with all administrative requirements of the project
- Coordinate, oversee, and monitor project activities to assure that projects are in compliance with policies and procedures, and in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Update standard company reports
- Ensure compliance with company standards and procedures
- Facilitate management procedures, budgeting, training, and program implementation.
- Key skills include conflict resolution, priority setting, managing expectations, senior level communication, multi-tasking and managing ambiguity.
Do you have these qualifications?
- Experience working with architects and contractors
- 3+ years of experience in building construction and/or real estate development. Multi-family experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent. At least 3-5 years experience
- Should also have strong computer skills including MS Office, spreadsheets and data analyses
- Strong communications skills and ability to work with internal and external parties
- Experience in construction management or related field, as a project clerk
- Experience with project accounting, record keeping and reporting
- Multifamily experience is not mandatory but is desirable
- Must be familiar with scope management, requirements gathering, project tracking and meeting facilitation
